The Christmas special focusing on the supernatural aspects of all things xmasy. This show will delve into the bizarre, eccentric and somewhat pagan root of Santa Claus, and dig below the foundations of the archetypal Arcadian Christmas that we have come to know. Far from being an exclusively historical investigation, the programme will introduce a cast of strange characters who celebrate the season in a variety of weird and wonderful ways. We shall uncover rarely seen archive footage of forgotten native British and European customs, that will be interwoven with our own specially shot features of British pagan rituals.
